After personally losing three loved ones so far this year, I’ve kind of had my fill of death.
Researchers in Sweden have recorded sounds that seem to be created by the interaction of the aurora borealis and things like power lines and pointed objects such as pine needles. It has been suggested that they be named “Carrie’s Crackles” in honor of Carrie Fisher. A recording can be heard on the SpaceWeather.com website.
