Kevin at the SmithsonianAnd speaking of Kevin, he’ll be at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum as they show an all-night marathon of air- and space-related films. He’ll be riffing “Destination Moon” at 10 p.m. along with Phil “Bad Astronomer” Plait and two of the Museum’s own curators, David DeVorkin and Layne Karafantis.

It was very good but if I ever get the idea to go downtown in DC during a holiday weekend late at night while the Metro system is messed up…SHOOT ME.

bah! EAG46, i feel for ya… i’ve been there a few times when transit was not playing nice. (i got to see the fourth fireworks though once at least in D.C., and they’re pretty spectacular, so i hope you got to stick around for them!)
enviable to see kev at the smith, eh… plus they’d just put back out the restored original “enterprise” model there recently, i’d read! hope you got a gander at that too while you were there… the museums there are the best (and usually only reason) to visit D.C.! (and, legalized weed! ;) wondering when places that -have- legalized turn into full-blown “amsterdams”…)
