The Value of Teamwork reminds me of the Movie A Boy and His Dog. Does the kid eat a girl at the end? ;-)

The funny thing about the Last Shark was footage from that movie would be reused for the movie Cruel Jaws. So a Jaws ripoff stole footage from another Jaws ripoff. It’s like one of those moments where the universe should implode.

After watching ‘The Last Shark’, I promise that I will never make fun of the shark in ‘Jaws’ ever again.

Wow, a movie that ripped off Cruel Jaws, that is impressive. I’ll have to check it out. The shorts sound good too.

They probably picked The Last Shark because of its bad-movie goof-cult reputation as originally being “Great White”, the movie that became legend for being pulled from theaters after losing a Jaws plagiarism suit to Universal in the 80’s.
(That’s all most pretty much anyone knows about the movie. You’d think they’d have played up to that more in the description.)
Between that and PD, RT tends to pick their features more on cult-reputation than riffable quality.

The Last Shark has James Franciscus from Finder of Lost Loves in it. cool.

The Last Shark also has the late, very great Vic Morrow playing the Quint role. Fans of Enzo Castellari movies should know that Morrow’s character in The Last Shark is named Hammer, much like the character he played in 1990: The Bronx Warriors. The Last Shark also demonstrates Castellari’s predilection for killing off his real-life brother Ennio Girolami, who gets chomped by the titular Last Shark in a really funny scene.
The Last Shark is really, really entertaining. I recommend tracking it down, unaltered, on DVD.

Anyone else catch Gordon Jump as the homeowner getting ripped off by the Bunco squad in the “On Guard” short? He was Mr. Carlson on “WKRP in Cincinnati”. Actually I could picture Mr. Carlson getting scammed in the same way. Johnny Fever wouldn’t put up with that nonsense.
