Maybe because you’re not a nice person.

This is no longer a fun site for me, I stayed off for a while to see if things got better, but it seems worse than ever. Nearly every thread is hijacked, and not only Rifftrax threads. This is supposed to be a FAN site and people get away with calling MST cast members idiots and full of bile?
I just don’t get it.

Don’t let the troll ruin your fun. It’s only one person here who is mean.
Stay here. It’ll be okay.

I have a question for those of you who have bought this movie. I’m going to, because the trailer cracked me up, but haven’t yet. How’s the sound quality of the movie itself? Seems AOK in the trailer but I’ve had a hard time with a couple of MJ&B’s shorts because the quality of sound in the original piece is so bad **and** my hearing is not as sharp as it used to be. Specifically, “Naturally a Girl” was awful in that respect. The riffs aren’t as funny if you (meaning I) can’t understand what’s being said in the film.
Thank you for any feedback. Let’s get back to our originally scheduled Rifftrax love!

MSTie, I know exactly what you mean about the sound quality, whether it’s the original that overwhelms the riffing (“One Got Fat”) or what you’re talking about with “Naturally a Girl.” But I didn’t notice any problem with Cat-Women, which I found to be very clear. Hope that helps.

I had no problems with the audio, either (and my hearing’s not what it used to be, either). And it’s definitely worth buying, some of MJ & B’s best work yet.

I found the audio levels to be fine. Great riff by the gals.

If the thesis is that MJ&B are overemphasizing the movie’s hyper-sexist ethos, please keep this in mind: the VERY first thing the sole female member of our intrepid crew of lunar explorers does upon successfully reaching the Moon is (if I remember correctly) touch up her makeup.
I mean, COME ON.

I know what you mean. I’ll say it again:”Let us know how much it would cost to upgrade the forums with an “Ignore”button and we can probably come up with it.”

That was a funny Rifftrax. Mary Jo and Bridget do some really good riffing.

I don’t know about any of you guys but I wish more of these Rifftrax episodes would get DVD releases. I’m not into the downloading thing.

Steve, commenter Gobi brought this up on the previous page of comments. One of the choices when you buy the movie is a “download to burn” file (I know, I know, that still doesn’t address FOD – Fear of Downloading). But it works great. I downloaded it, dragged the file icon onto my Roxio burner program, followed the prompts, and voila, hard copy DVD. I also printed out the image of MJ &B as the lovely Cat-Women so now I have cover art for my DVD case too. Good luck!
