Pretty soon, MST3K-related expenses will just be automatically withdrawn from my account. But wow, what a great bonus disk surprise. First time I’ve ordered a new set from Shout.
Very cool! I preordered as soon as I saw the news last night.
I’m a little disappointed that these specials aren’t included on the set as a bonus feature. I wonder if it’s a rights issue and Shout! couldn’t make it viable without charging a lot more for XXXVI.
Upon reading about the news, I immediately ordered my copy of Volume 31 from my work station.
Wow, and here I was thinking I’d have to wait a month or so for this set to go on pre-order. I was worried I might not have time to use the $10 coupon I got during Shout’s recent March Madness sale. But not only needn’t I have worried about that, but there’s that lovely bonus too, of material I didn’t think we’d ever get a legitimate release for.
How many special bonus discs has Shout done for MST3K now? Besides this newest one and the “Commando Cody” and “Selected Shorts” discs, were there any others?
P.S. Just out of curiosity, what was the offer for ROTLD?
It looks like a great set and that bonus disc is through the roof. I always pre-order to get the sets a month early anyway. The bonus disc is icing on the cake. :-)

Basically, the limited ROTLD offer featured a second slipcover/poster from a different artist. The blu-ray contains the same content.

As far as I know, Commando Cody and the film serials collection are the only two they’ve ever done. The Summer Blockbuster Reviews will be the third.
I love that this is coming out and I put in a preorder, but I wonder why these are getting released and not the Golden Statue and Robot’s Choice specials on the same disc? Seems to me those would be just as easy to get the rights to and disc space shouldn’t be an issue. Either way, I’ll be happy with these! :D

I preordered like I said in my previous post, but I got an email because there’s a difference between the billing address on my card and the billing address I used for the order. I’m in a bit of a situation where I’m trying to relocate and I had it set to send to the one address where I can be sure I’d get it in a timely fashion. Shout wanted me to settle the issue over email correspondence, so I sent an email last night explaining the situation and how I wanted it shipped and billed to the address I provided. I haven’t heard back from them; not yet. The transaction shows up on my account information so I have to assume that for the time being it’s all taken care of. Still, it makes me nervous not knowing for sure. I really, really want that bonus disc.
Just an update re: #29…
I have passed some emails back and forth with Shout! Factory Customer Service and they assure me that the situation is resolved, so I should be getting my preorder with the bonus disc after all. So let it be known that Shout not only has good products, but good customer service! :D
