Nice to know that The Master was already an MST3K fan and approved of the episode.

I loved this comment in the article:
[Manos] went unnoticed at the time, but would later be made famous by Mystery Science Theater 3000, a science fiction comedy show which … You know what? If we have to explain MST3K to you, just stop reading. You’ve got some homework to do.
Ha.

I thought EXACTLY the same thing!

When she said she’d called Comedy Central for a copy of the movie, I wonder if she actually ended up talking to someone at BB?

Some good clarification about the actor who played Torgo. I’ve heard a lot of variations of his tragic story.

Thanks again for sharing Jackey. Mst and Manos are so woven together it almost feels like you’re part of the family.

If I may say this, Jackey has a Manos fan page on Facebook, and not only is it interesting, she seems like a pretty cool, down-to-earth person. I would love to go on a girls’ night out with her and toss back a few drinks and talk the worst movie ever made.

Who has not been an impractical dreamer like Jackie’s dad? Enthusiasm as infectious as his obviously was can lift people out of their humdrum routines and even if the ultimate result falls flat so what? Thanks for letting us in on the story, Jackie.

I really enjoyed the article. Great incite from someone who was there for all of it. I agree that you should check out her Facebook page. I’ve had a couple exchanges with her and she is indeed a pretty cool person.

I vote for Debbie to guest on the new MST3K eps with the Mads. Kinga has some learning to do on how to do bad by the best!

This part of the article made me laugh.
“The end credits are inflated with fake names to make the production look bigger.”
Gives a whole new meaning to Crow’s outburst at the end:
“CREW?!!!! They had a CREW?!!!!”

Okay, Debbie to appear on New MST3K, but all her dialogue has to be dubbed by an older woman, of course.
That “Oh my God, are you Debbie?” moment must have been pretty weird but also very special.
