Mike has said similar things frequently in the past, and it always strikes me as a tad hypocritical. I mean, his job and his fame are based on riffing bad movies. He seeks them out. And then, when he finds them, he ascribes revenge or “payback” as the motivation for what he does?
It’s as if he were a boxer, and took personal umbrage at the fact that the opponents he signs up to fight try to hit him.
Three words: “Tongue-in-cheek.”
