A member of the AV Club admits to having not seen a movie? Shenanigans. Especially a film as awesome as The Last Dragon.

Thanks for posting. I agree that the overall chemistry and vibe are more essential than merely attempting to get the voice ‘just so.’

I don’t want to doubt Joel’s instincts, and all the performers he’s picked are funny and talented, but I kinda wish Baron was playing the human and Jonah was Servo. Partially because Jonah sounds so much Josh, and partially just because it would be cool to have a black dude host the show.

@Goshzilla: You’re not wrong. Even if he’s not going to be the host, though, that was a great interview, he seemed really funny and interesting, and I’m definitely looking forward to him on the series.

Nice. I haven’t seen him in anything but this was a good interview. @John Seavey is right, the first two words I’d use to describe him after reading it are “funny” and “interesting”. He seems like a sharp guy; he’s quick with the jokes and his responses to questions are well-thought-out.

I was never concerned about the new voices for the bots. I’ve watched Doctor Who for decades- this doesn’t phase me.

I’m most interested now in the riffs he will write. A person who thinks in webs and can connect many things- that is a person I want to hear riffs from. I am on ‘internet pop culture reference passing as humor’ overload.

I like him and the other bot, it’s the rest of the show that I don’t like. Shame Joel can’t host again

The obvious missing question was: Are you eventually going to do the puppeteering as I understand that neither guy has worked their respective bots yet.
