OK, fact-check time. Jim Mallon did not “create” MST3K, right? That was Joel Hodgson.

I haven’t really been paying attention but what exactly has Mallon been doing since MST3K went off the air ? Have the rights and residuals for MST3K been enough for him to earn a living ? I ask because a quick check of IMDB and Wikipedia has his CV pretty much stopping with MST3K and associated legacy projects.

I know it’s none of my business, but so what ? I wanna know.

Looks pretty awesome, but being from Oregon, I’ll just stay in my warm comfy chair and wait for the Youtube video.

Wow, didn’t know that the statue had survived the Barneveld Tornado…I guess that’s only something a Wisconsinite who’s traveled through Barneveld numerous times can appreciate though…haha…

If they put it up I’ll have to make the trek to nearby Madison and check it out.

I remember Leon Varjian from Indiana University in the 70s. He got his start there doing some hilarious subversive stuff. I like to think his hilarity rubbed off on Jim Mallon.

It appears that the statue has been reassembled for this weekend’s events. Here’s an article with photos:
