That’s too bad. She was a nice addition to both films she appeared in on MST3K.

Very sad. A great actress, with a classic Hollywood beauty that you don’t see on the screen today. I remember her best for her short but memorable role in Howard Hawks’s “Red River”, opposite John Wayne.

    RIP

aww, I thought that she if not a great actress, was at least an interesting one. (does anybody else feel bad when they see one of these MST3K obits?)

She was a beauty for sure. Never came off as an airhead or bimbo. May your pineal ring always be full.
    Rest in peace.

RIP to this shiny bottomed beauty…may your breasts rise with the Neipe, and may you go to heavenly rest beyond the shrill nasally call of “NEIL!!!NEIL!!!”.

    Here’s to you, whiskey.

Have a little one for the road, just enough to make you numb.

    Goodbye, you beauty.

Definitely sad to hear this but at least she had a good long life. I agree with everyone else that she was a classic Hollywood beauty and a good actress too. Leech Woman is one of my fave eps (as are many of the b+w Universal films from season 8)and she really made that one fun. The Vampire (1957) is one of my fave horror films from the 50s and if y’all haven’t seen it you should check it out. She plays a nurse in it and the vampire in the movie is a very different take on the monster.

    JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!!!

But seriously, though. I thought she was a good actress. She certainly played the role of abused wife/Leech Woman rather well

@#5- Death is sad sometimes- kinda reminds me of a short JT&B are watching when Joel says- “man, everyone in the crowd is probably dead now.”

R.I.P. I love both episodes she graced. A solid, professional actress and a true beauty. I hope her family finds comfort in the fact that her performances will live on forever. Let us all agree that death sucks.

One of her first films was a Capra film called “Riding High,” which featured Oliver Hardy in a rare appearance without Stan Laurel. She should have been a bigger star, for sure. Rest in Peace.

I came here to see if anyone would mention The Vampire. I thought she was very good in that one (and I agree, anyone who hasn’t seen it should seek it out).

MacPhearson: Gentlemen, it seems that we are not all in agreement

    Mike: I disagree!

(I don’t want to die today or tomorrow, but I also don’t want to live forever. 92 seems fair)

I have both Phantom Planet and Leech Woman on DVD. Wonder which one I should watch tonight in her honour. Maybe both. Eternal rest for one of the most beautiful women to ever grace the theater screen of the SOL.

So sad to hear this as I agree with #18. She was a classy beauty that was vastly underrated as an actress. And I enjoyed seeing her in two mst episodes as well as some other classic tv shows and movies. She will definitely be missed…….RIP Coleen.
