SWHS Rifftrax Now Available…and if you thought THAT was horrifying, there’s always the Star Wars Holiday Special. The only thing that could make it survivable is the Rifftrax commentary track, which is now available for download.

Always heard about the SW holiday (and something else called the SW xmas special…please tell me thats not a late night five beer vauge recall of a mid-90s disney adventures magazine) specail. Never saw it till now…all i gotta say is OMFGZOMFGFATIGAHPPASTNOMFG.
Only half way through the google movie version as of now…GAGH!!! what little respect of star wars that i lost in episode 2 was spit back in my face!!!! I look forwards to downloading and purcasing the rifftrax of this…but AAGH!…oh the pain!!!
As a side note, i remember renting from my local Blockbuster 10-12 years ago a few more of the sad SW spinoffs-the Ewoks duology….please tell me that there are riffs of the Ewoks movies planned…I’m sorry that they have been resurected from my subconsious, but only the riffs of Mike Neslon et al, can save me from them!!!

Forgot the late 70s commericals included in the google video…they are just icing on the cake.

I could barely pallet this sampling of pureed vomit soup that Lucas had the balls to let people see. If I actually saw it on TV as a child, I’ve completely suppressed the memory.
“Bea Arthur in a Star Wars cantina! AHHHHH! Mommy, make the scary masculine voiced man-woman go away!”

Well, I’ll give them this much: with the commentary in place, I almost made it through the whole thing this time. I think I saw a good hour between falling in and out of sleep.
The riffs on the commercials were the best, though. Maybe they should riff on one of those “classic commercials” DVDs.
