RIP William Newman PHILADELPHIA–Character actor William Newman, who, in his more-than-30-year career, appeared in dozens of TV shows and movies, including “Mrs. Doubtfire” and “The Postman Always Rings Twice,” died here May 27 at a senior residence, after a long illness. Man, he looks a LOT like Chief O’Hera from the ’66 Batman…
I’m struggling to remember this guy’s face in Squirm, but I’m sad to hear he’s gone. We’ve lost WAY too many familiar MST names lately…

#3, you’d be forgiven for not remember. He appears in the MST3K episode, but BBI reduced his role (I don’t even think he’s named in their riff version). He’s in the scene where Geri and Mick ask Roger to go fishing with them around 38 minutes into the episode. You can see him in the background polishing something. In the unMSTed version, there’s a brief exchange between him and Geri/Mick where they ask him about MISTER BEARDSLEY!!!!!!!!! before they talk to Roger about the worms.
