MSTies will remember him as Frank Johnson in the movie in episode 517- BEGINNING OF THE END.
Thanks to Duane for the heads up.
Also, several folks have alerted us to last week’s passing of poet Rod McKuen. McKuen was never mentioned by name in a host segment (we don’t think), so he’s not a MSTory person, but it’s worth mentioning at his passing that the lyrics to the song “Seasons in the Sun,” which he wrote, were quoted on several occasions on the show.
I want to think that he was mentioned on the show at some point. A commenter on the AV Club obit says he was used in a riff in Radar Secret Service.

In Experiment 520 (Radar Secret Service), Nelson throws down a McKuen reference in the short Last Clear Chance (For Fantastic Savings); on top of the cop’s line “…it seemed only yesterday –”
” — I was being spanked by Rod McKuen!”

Yeah that was in the theater, which doesn’t count. If we put every single person who was mentioned by name in the theater into MSTory, we’d have to list, well, EVERYBODY. We have, for better or worse, drawn a line at host segments.

Perhaps the highlight of BotE was Frank signing:
“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!”
Btw, not only was Peter Graves “somewhat” responsible for the insects killing thousands of people,
but his atomic experiments led to Frank’s speech disability.
Well, you hire University of Minnesota agronomist graduates and that kind of thing’s going to happen.
