I attended Joel’s “Riffing Myself” on Friday evening and his VIP panel yesterday afternoon. The ticket for the VIP experience was pretty pricey, but was totally worth the experience of seeing Joel. “Riffing Myself” starts with a very young Joel and his interest in ventriloquism and magic and expands from there. Most of the things Joel talked about were things I hadn’t heard before. The talk on Saturday was very funny and much more intimate than a big venue, as there were only around 50 people in the audience, many of whom were very knowledgeable about MST3K and Cinematic Titanic and asked great questions. A good time was had by all.
