“Riffing Myself” needs to go wide release… or at least pick a venue within a 5 or 6 hour drive of me.

This is just wishful thinking, but the Rifftrax guys are usually at Sketchfest as well, and last year they had a bunch of guests come up and do riffs with them. Perhaps they can snag Joel this year?

I saw this in March in Seattle and it was fantastic, if you can get to one of these shows do it!

Would like it if Joel brought his show to Michigan. Royal Oak, Ann Arbor, East Lansing, Flint??

Done and done! Just trying to process the fact that I am going to meet Joel. Probably just going to stare slack jawed and all that will come out of my mouth is “I ate jello today” because I will be so nervous, but I can’t really pass up such an opportunity can I?!

Now Joel has this as his next thing he’s into, and that’s good.
But it’s also a bad thing.
    DO YOU KNOW WHY?
    ?????????????????????

Trickymutha – I just emailed the Royal Oak Music Theater a few days ago asking them to book Joel’s show. If you or any other fans want to do the same they just may listen to us.

@5 and @6 – when I first met any of the Cinematic Titanic cast after one of their shows I seriously had to fight the urge to try to say something funny. First off, eventhough I’m pretty sure I’m one of the funniest people around there’s always a chance that I’m the only one that thinks that. Second, Joel, Trace, Mary Jo, Josh and Frank really are some of the funniest people on the face of the earth. Finally, they just finished performing for a couple hours and even if I do manage to spurt out a humorous comment they are probably pretty exhausted and I will likely see anything from a slight grin to a blank stare in response. I have to agree with cityofvoltz, I think they really appreciate a sincere thank you and a smile.

@2: Apparently Conor at Rifftrax said on the forums that they weren’t going to do a show there this year.

I got to see the first incarnation of this, “How to get a job like mine”, at the Colonial in Phoenixville PA. It was beyond amazing. And in addition to the early career stuff, Joel took time to explain that faith and his family’s active church life had a large part in his early formation.

So if you’re the kind of person who gets offended at the slightest mention of church or religion (*cough*Sampo*cough), you’ve been warned. (Unless of course he edited that part out.)
