Western Mass here! This’ll be my second live-in-theaters RiffTrax (Manos was first). Bought ticket on Tuesday.
Awfully drizzly and downright rainy today and tonight. Not fun going by bus to and from, the latter either requiring a run outside to catch an earlier bus (as with the night of Manos), or waiting for a later bus arriving 20 minutes after the mall closes. While RiffTrax itself will be great, I may be repeating Norman’s catchphrase numerous times before I get home tonight.
SPOILER – Droppo’s in the radar box!
I’ll be taking my 11-year-old niece to see it tonight. And it will be very cold in central Texas, and my car has no heater, so I’ll have to use this little toy heater that plugs into the cigarette lighter. My poor niece…how’s she supposed to light her cigarettes when I drive her? (That’s my little joke.)
It will be her first MST3K-type exposure, so I hope she likes it. I still can’t believe I’m paying to see Droppo again.

Droppo is, of course, an old Martian name that roughly translates to turd.

One of the few, the… well, “proud” would be pushing it, but still, one of those at the Regal Cinemas in Hamburg Pavilion in Lexington, KY!
I’m hoping for an acknowledgement that this is the THIRD riffed version of Santa Claus Conquers the Martians by the MST3K crew. And the fact that Bill and Josh are the only two who haven’t dealt with it twice at this point.
So.
It all comes down to this.
The combatants: CT and RT.
Who will be victor? Whose will be the unquestioned triumph over “Santa Claus Conquers the Martians”?? Who shall be deemed the Arch-Riffer???

Ugh, you guys are killing me. I’m in the middle of this snow/ice storm crap & our theater closed around 3PM today. No martian conquering for me tonight. :(
The rain pretty much didn’t happen (a few spritzes here and there), but I did have to wait for the later bus (10:25 PM Eastern). I did get to ride in one of those buses that bend in the middle home, so there was that.
