Second Half of Joel’s TCM Interview + Joel Joins Twitter/Pinterest

The second half of the Scott McGee’s Turner Classic Movies interview with Joel is up. (Thanks to Ken for the heads up.)

Also, Joel now has a Twitter account, @JoelGHodgson. It appears to be conntected to his new Pinterest account.

Nicely done. Always good to see Joel. I more than ever want to make it to one of his Riffing Myself shows. With my facination with the history of MST I would love to see the original concept sketches and other treasures he shares.

With all the crap, crime, & chaos in the news, it’s great to watch an interview done in this style. I would love to see McGee interview several people connected to MST3K. I think they would track well.

Tom Servo: Yep. Quite refreshing. It’s like getting a hand-written letter in the mailbox from a dear old friend from your past.

Crow: Or like having a copy of Bugliosi’s Helter Skelter slipped under your hotel door – one page at a time.

Tom Servo: I don’t quite get your reference there, Crow.

Crow: I’m speaking of the comfort level, obviously. Okay, how about “it was like having Tom Snyder interviewing you in your living room and throwing unpopped popcorn kernels at you during commercial breaks? As he laughs his ass off?”

    Tom Servo: Actually, not bad.

(Cambot tightens in for an extreme close-up of Tom’s beak.)

    Tom Servo: I LIKE it!
