Kevin is slated to appear at Salt Lake Comic Thursday through Saturday, Sept. 5-7 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City. He will not be part of any panels, as far as we can tell, but will be signing autographs and posing for photos all three days at the Big Finish Games booth, booth 408. (Big Finish Games is the new company for the “Tex Murphy” series of video games–say, is Kevin related to Tex?)
This is the best news related to the con yet! I’m going to be there on Saturday so I’ll definitely keep my eyes peeled for him.
I have a small role in the same game, Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure. Hey, that means I’m in something with Kevin! Hey, it’s a small thing, but I’ll take it!
Tex Murphy, one of the greatest video game characters ever!
I didn’t know such a thing existed, don’t tell me Salt Lake is becoming cool because I will never believe it.
You better believe it Cheapskate Crow, this is Utah’s first Comic-Con but they’re already getting so many cool people to come, in fact it’s getting so popular and they’re selling so many tickets that they recently had to expand to another bigger convention center.
Anyway, this is awesome news! I had already got tickets for this a few months ago, but I didn’t even know Kevin would be coming, really can’t wait to meet him! :)
I’m also planning on cosplaying as Joel, even bringing a Crow replica too. So if anyone else here is going be sure to look for me, I’d love to say hi!
Is that Salt Palace any relation to the one in Carnival of Souls?
Holy skit! I can’t believe I may actually get a chance to meet a member of the cast of my favorite cow town puppet show!
@littleaimishboy- that was Saltair in CoS, and has an interesting history if you care to Google it.
@Cheapskate Crow- don’t worry, Utah will NEVER be “cool”. However, it’s not the backward place people sometimes make it out to be. 8-)
Also, Adam West and Tia Carrere from Zombie Nightmare will also be there. Perfect opportunity for those attending to get there MST3k Volume XV DVD autographed by them.
My favorite video game character meets my favorite TV character? Yeah, life is kinda cool sometimes. Has it actually been confirmed that Kevin will be in the new Tex game? Regardless, I hope they tape the panel – should be a good one.
