Kevin and Bill will be very busy at CONvergence, an annual four-day convention for fans of science fiction and fantasy in all media, July 4-7 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Bloomington, Minn.
One highlight is sure to be “Prometheus Debunked,” a riff an hour-long panel discussion of the movie “Prometheus,” where they will be joined by Rebecca Watson, the founder of the Skepchick blog and co-host of the Skeptics’ Guide to the Universe podcast, and PZ Myers, an associate professor of biology at the University of Minnesota Morris and the founder and co-author of the Pharyngula science blog. (Note: Bill has informed us that they will not be riffing “Prometheus.” They’ll just spend an hour making a ton of jokes at its expense.)

PZ Myers riffing on a movie. Hmm, I think I can safely skip this.
Oh, man! Any of you that get to go are so lucky! Meanwhile, I’m stuck in Washington…
Y’know, I wish I was in Minnesota right about now. Much more MST3K events there. Oh, well!
I’m definitely planning to attend. Minnesota has been spoiled for the past few years when it comes to Cinematic Titanic and it’s performers, but live Rifftrax events are pretty scarce here. Granted, Bill Corbett does make some nice appearances at small local theaters, especially when their doing something with one of his plays. I would really like to see Mike, Kevin, and Bill do a Rifftrax Live broadcast from here, but I certainly won’t complain over getting the autographs of Kevin and Bill. Meanwhile, a couple of the video game tournaments at CONvergence have caught my attention!
I’m Peter Graves, and I’m attending the University of Minnesota!
Darn, darn, darn! I don’t hear about these things until it’s too late for me to set aside time for them!
Any chance the riffing will be released later for those of us who can’t be there?
Glad I’m one of the few who likes this movie. :D :-/ Not! I mean glad i’m NOT one of the few who… ..oh never mind. :(
Gawd, I hated “Prometheus.” The only good thing about that movie is looking at the handsome Michael Fassbender. Rip it to shreds, guys, I’m right there with you in spirit if not in person.
I apologize for misunderstanding the web site. A panel discussion makes much more sense (with maybe a little riffing?).
