Good old fashioned nightmare fuel. God, I hate clowns.
That reminds me, I noticed the other day that Old Bobo from the short The Creeps Machine makes a cameo in the Jean-Claude Van Damme movie Cyborg! (it’s around 10-15 minutes or so in, after JCVD gets shot through a wall & goes stumbling around).
And yes. Clowns… EVIL!! EVIL!!! KILL THEM WITH FIRE!!!

There was a time when clowns were something nice. Unfortuantely that short is just not old enough to capture that short time in history…

I don’t find clowns scary in the slightest. And I’m sure many of you claim being afraid of clowns because horror movies and Stephen King told you so.

@9: Nope, sorry. I’ve hated/feared clowns long before I was old enough to see horror movies.
I don’t hate clowns in general (Emmet Kelly seems nice enough, and his talent was eating, so that wasn’t scary), but this one is thisclose to Tim-Curry-clown creepy/terrifying… I wonder if Tim’s performance was influenced by this short?
Great riffing, guys – still had some bad dreams, though.
My sister is afraid of birds. Parakeets, etc. lol
This short looks like it was made in the same limbo where they shot Manos. They even got The Master’s dog to be in the short.
