I just counted, and by my math with this release Shout has put 57 new to DVD episodes out, which is the same number Rhino did. Of course, Rhino also had the shorts releases and Amazing Colossal Man on VHS, but it’s a pretty impressive fete for Shout in only 4.5 years.
Unless my math is off.

I was contemplating this as well. That leaves only 63 episodes left. I wonder how many more Shout! can put out before running out (due to rights constrictions, etc.) I smell a list coming… :-))

I’d LOVE to see a season eight-specific box with “The Leech Woman,” “The She-Creature,” “Riding With Death” and “Horror of Party Beach.”

Sweet extras! I would expect nothing less from SHOUT! However, (and it’s not a criticism, just an observation) I think it’s interesting that the reviewers of the box sets feel the need to review each movie as well as the extras. I for one only really care about the extras as I’ve known which movies are contained therein for several months and have seen each movie at least half a dozen times.
“But GT, YOU’RE site reviews the movies!”
True, but that’s what my site is for. I just think DVD box set reviews should succinctly tell us what we REALLY want to know. Just sayin’. (And I’m also jealous they get their sets early.) :sidefrown:

You know, there’s plenty left that they could do some full boxset themes, like:
The ‘Man’ theme
Puma Man
The Projected Man
The Incredible Melting Man
The Amazing Transparent Man
Or the Bert I Gordon set:
The Amazing Colossal Man
War of the Colossal Beast
Earth vs The Spider
Village of the Giants

Spootnek – Mitchell and The Brain that Wouldn’t Die were released years ago.

I’ve been watching the series in chronological order again, starting with Season 1. As I go through them I’ve noticed that we’ve got a lot that season, a majority of other seasons, on DVD, mostly because of Shout! Factory. I’m grateful for having so many episode on DVD. I hope that within the next few years we have every episode on DVD.

I know, but both were only singles and not in box sets and are now OOP.

Shout! is releasing “The Incredible Melting Man” on Blu-Ray soon. Seems like that is a likely candidate for a set in the near future.

At least Michael Nelson’s Life After MST3K segment wasn’t rather dry and full of name-dropping.

Got mine from amazon a day early! It’s a great set!

Based on a not-too-subtle hint in Best Brains’ e-mail today, it seems as if The Deadly Mantis will be among the episodes in Volume XXVII.

So I wonder where the “Volume XXVII” announcement is? IIRC (and I may not, because I’m old) Shout told us which episodes were coming next right at the same time of the release of the new set.
(I have a horse in this race because my wife and I are watching the episodes in order and if there are some up and coming ones in, say, June, we can either delay or skip them to wait for the release versions, as we did with this latest set).

Ah — spoke too soon. Just as I thought, the announcements were made today (I got my XXVI yesterday and forgot it wasn’t being released until today).

Your first visit to the MST3KInfo site? You must be a new MST3K fan, as this site has been around for a LONG time. But it’s great to have new folks discover the best show that once was.
(Make sure you check out Rifftrax and Cinematic Titanic, although the latter is also soon doomed to reruns only :>).

It’s a very subtle form of spam. If you click her name it redirects to a sales site.

There is also a new review over at DVDTalk.com. It’s positive and a bit of the same old, same old for the site.
Still with a look.

I really love your site.. Very nice colors & theme. Did you make this amazing site yourself?
Please reply back as I’m attempting to create my own personal site and would like to find out where you got this from or just what the theme is named. Thank you!

Ah, a NOT so subtle attempt at spam.
The theme is named GOOH, which you can find by googling.
