Film to Look at the Making of ‘The Creeping Terror’

It is being described as a dark comedy and based solely on what little can be gleaned here, it actually looks interesting. We are told that principal photography has wrapped, and they are looking to premiere it at Fantasticfest in Austin this fall.

This look really interesting to me. Ed Wood is one of my favorite movies. I hope this is similar.

So, can we now expect a docudrama on the making of “Manos”? Actually, that doesn’t sound too bad, as long as Tim Burton doesn’t do it.

As for this one, it does sound interesting.

I demand interior shots of the monster as the ladies are being sucked up in there! It would satisfy a lot of things, including my curiosity.

I find this trailer to be uber pretentious. Surely looks to be the perfect riffing fodder for MST3K. Perhaps Rifftrax, or CInematic Titanic will tackle it before they retire their live shows.

^So you think it’s a good idea to riff a movie about a movie they riffed.

  10. It doesn’t look to be very current, but I found a fairly detailed PDF the production here: http://peteschuermann.com/creep.pdf

I remember seeing the trailer on the website, but I wasn’t sure what was happening. Sounds interesting, but also kind of strange this movie has a film being made about it. And apparently MANOS is getting a sequel. Or is that still happening?

Sure, think of all the callbacks! They can even razz THIS director for his “weird little turn on” of seeing womens “hinders” being gulped down the terrors gullet. They could even rename it “Son of Creeping Terror” or “Return of the Creeping Terror.”

The thing is, unlike the several “mockumentaries” that have been done recently, people KNEW those movies.
Other than us, how many people are familiar with “Creeping Terror”?

ummm that was a rather strange clip….they should have made that movie instead of the creeping terror…

I hope it’s more fact-based than Ed Wood was (although I, too, love that film).

That was a pretentious trailer. The movie could be interesting if they don’t try and be too pretentious, but we’ll see.
