Our pals at Shout! Factory tell us that every last unit of the deluxe version of the Mystery Science Theater 3000 20th Anniversary Edition has shipped to retailers. The official release date is Oct. 28, but you may begin to see them on shelves this weekend.
We’re told Amazon is still a good bet, but that they may run out soon.
“This is a limited edition. When they’re gone, they’re gone,” we were told.
Anticipating still more demand, Shout! Factory is rush-releasing a standard version of the box set, which contains the disks, but not the collectible tin box, the Crow T. Robot figurine, or lobby cards that are part of the deluxe version. The standard edition will arrive in stores on Nov. 18; pricing to be announced.
Mine was sent out yesterday.
I can’t wait to hold the box in my little hands.

I’m now even more glad I ordered this off of Amazon when I read about it on here the first time a week or so ago.

The problem is, I got a fifty dollar charge on my debit account four days early. That almost got me a hefty charge from my bank. They could have attempted to keep their customers briefed.

Oh, and I’ve been charged but no shipping notice, yet. Maybe because I got the Super Saver shipping…

I already have a spot on my DVD player dusted off for my Crow!!!

This actually works out great for me. I truly had no reason for all the extras. Standard pack will also probably look better on the DVD shelf.
P.S. What’s with Toshiba?

Glad I ordered two 20th anniversary editions when I did.

I ordered my set from DeepDiscount.com and it shipped a few days ago. Should have it in about 10 days from the shipping date. Anxious to see it and watch the DVDs!

I really could not afford this, and I’m so glad I ordered it anyway. Who cares if I have to eat cheese on toast for a month?? I’m going to get a Crow figurine!

I actually received my box set from Deep Discount today, and gorged myself on all three parts of the “History of MST3K” documentary and the ComicCon 2008 coverage. Great stuff, good times!

Gah, Amazon estimated shipment on November 3rd. But I’m very glad I preordered it when I did (as soon as I heard tell of its existence).

I was just going to order it off DeepDiscount (I was waiting for their biannual 20% off sale but figured if this sells out I’ll be pissed), only to discover that they just jacked up the price by $10, from $40 to $50! Thanks, jerks.

That’s strange… I ordered mine on Saturday and later that day received an e-mail that said it was already on its way to my door.

Is there any news on the “standard edition?” Personally I’d prefer that but here we are halfway into November and I’ve seen nothing yet.
