UPDATE: Joel gets interviewed at Minneapolis CBS affiliate WCCO. (“The Gizomcrat?”)
Euan Kerr of Minnesota Public Radio talks with Joel about the show.
Here’s an interview with Joel pegged to the South Dakota show.
The first time I read it, I thought it said “how to have a job like MIKE.” That would’ve been outrageously funny….lucky Joel …getting out of the east coast until the lights and the gasoline return….SOS

I’ll be at the Minneapolis show, and am looking forward to finally meeting one of the Brains.
Pennsylvania wasn’t hit as bad as some of my family in NJ. Temple Unviersity in Philly reopened on Wednesday, so I doubt the lights are still out there.

I actually can’t wait to hear about people on here have to say about this second attempt at this show from Joel. As most on here know by now, Joel didn’t even get halfway through his slide show, so I wonder if he will have refined it for Minnesota.
Looking at the info, they do plan on showing an MST episode after the show, so we have the makings of the same situation as what I saw at the Colonial a month ago. And will they show the same “secret” MST episode again? And do the dead talk back…oh wait, wrong topic.

Matt D @3,
I’m going with several friends and we’re hoping that there’s no MST3k screening at all. It’s a been-there-done-that sort of deal where we’re more interested in hearing about Joel’s influences and career outside of Mystery Science than seeing an episode for the 30th time.
And the dead do talk back, they’re just interested in talking about sports. :)

The good news for you guys is that the show starts at 7pm out there. The Colonial show started at 9pm, and therefore Joel had to cut it short to get the MST ep in there. The listing on that website for MN does say that you are getting an MST episode, so you are probably stuck there. But yes, ultimately I also wish Joel had eschewed the MST ep in favor of finishing his presentation.

Euan Kerr mentions Joel’s work with Rifftrax. Good job on the research, sir.
