The show was SO GREAT!!! I am in love with Cinematic Titanic now. First, Dave “Gruber” Allen was hilarious as the opening act. He danced to “Waters of March” and it was mesmerizing. All of the cast introductions were so funny; I especially loved Mary Jo’s monotonic reading of her lines and J. Elvis performing the “Don’t Freak Out” song with Gruber. Oh God, everything about the whole night was spectacular. My dad was LOLing hard, which was great. I bought Mary Jo’s book and am so excited to read it. THANK YOU for an amazing time. Love you guys! :-) Please come back to Michigan soon.

FANTASTIC!!!!!! Great rendition of “Year of the Cat” by Gruber at the beginning of the second show. And I got my ACEG signed by everyone, including Gruber. Saw the show with a couple of friends from school, and even met a very pretty girl who was tagging along with ’em. GREAT NIGHT!!!!!!!!

Fantastic, as usual. Everyone must see Astral Factor. One of their best. And of course Doomsday Machine is such a strange movie. Hilarious. Good crowds for both shows, although a little smaller than I expected for the second. Standing ovations after each movie though. Michigan loves Cinematic Titanic. Please come again soon.

As usual, a great CT show. Very lively crowds for both shows. Had a few sound problems with the second show, but Josh and Joel got the sound guy’s attention and proceeded pretty much unruffled from there. Probably enjoyed Trace’s impromptu comment before the first show more than I should have – Trace explained that he expected to lose his voice at some time during the show, at which time he would be replaced by Bill Corbett.

The Titans did a great job at both shows, but I must confess that I missed a lot of their jokes (as well as much of the movie dialog) due to the poor acoustics at the Royal Oak Music Theatre. It was very hard to understand what was being said both onscreen and onstage. I was also a little disappointed that Joel didn’t sing the MST theme song with Josh as I’ve seen at other performances (Josh performed it solo and at the first show only). Nevertheless a wonderful time was had by all in our group, and it was Just Plain Cool to see Joel, Josh, Trace, Mary Jo and TV’s Frank live in person after enjoying them for so many years on the “small” screen.

Having been a MST3K fan for 20+ years now (can’t believe it’s been that long!), I was really excited to get to see Cinematic Titanic live for the first time tonight. I had tickets for both shows, and had a great time! Also, got to meet everyone and get autographs between shows. Everyone was super nice, and you could tell they’re appreciative of their fans. Anyway, thoroughly enjoyed myself and highly recommend their live show!

Just want to agree with everyone. I’ve also been a mistie for a long time and was glad I was able to get everyone to sign my copy of the ACEG too. As for the acoustics at Royal Oak, I’m not sure if that was the problem or if everyone was just laughing so hard that I missed some of the jokes. I’m glad Alison McClure posted the name of the song Gruber lip-synced to, I didn’t recognize it. I’m also the one who posted questions about bringing a camera in. So, I was glad no one was searching you or preventing you from bringing a camera in as long as you didn’t use it during the show. And, finally, YES! PLEASE COME BACK TO MICHIGAN!

Just one more thing. During the pre-show there was a constant stream of video playing on the screen of old warnings they would play in movie houses, probably from the ’50s and ’60s, maybe from the ’70s as well. They also showed info tidbits about the people in CT. One of the tidbits was about Trace having a bit part in West Wing. The tidbit listed it as show number 41, which would make it show #19 in the second season. I think the episode title is “Bad Moon Rising”.
