John Hodgman (author and maybe best known as the guy who played the PC in those Mac commercials) is touring the country in support of his book “That Is All.” On four dates in the Midwest, Kevin and Bill will be part of the show. The shows are:
Thursday, March 29, in Minneapolis at the Varsity, 1308 4th Street Southeast; get tickets here
Friday, March 30, in Madison at the Majestic, 115 King Street; get tickets here
Saturday, March 31, in Milwaukee at the Turner Hall Ballroom, 1034 North 4th Street; get tickets here
and Sunday, April 1, in Chicago at The Second City, 1616 North Wells Street; get tickets soon
That’s awesome for a few different reasons. I didn’t know Joel had a book out, and I wasn’t sure if he still was friendly with Kevin.
I didn’t know Joel had a book out either – he should tour with John. ;-)
*snicker*
Maybe this is part of Hodgeman’s plan: book Kevin and Bill for the tour and hop to draw in MST3K fans who don’t read the posters closely enough.
I probably won’t make it to those events. Anyway, this is kind of a stretch buuuut…John Hodgman played a guest role as a brain surgeon in BattleStar Galactica. The primary doctor Cottle referred to him as the ‘brain guy’. I wonder if that was mere coincidence or not.
I just realized I need to work on my reading comprehension.
Now someone named Mark Nielson needs to write a book so Frank and Trace can tour with him.
Oh I’m definitely going to this. I need Kevin’s autograph (already got Bill’s), and then all I need is Mike’s and my MST3K project will be done! Mwahahahahaahahaha!!! I don’t know why I laughed evilly. I guess I’m just excited about the prospect of being that much closer to being done. And it’s the day before my birthday!
Darn it! I’ll be visiting WI in Feb, too soon to catch any of these dates. Hodgman’s a very good writer, I’ve enjoyed his previous books and am always glad when he shows up on The Daily Show in his various recurring features.
JeremyR you made me lol
I like Apple’s products but Justin Long’s smarmy Mac always rubbed me the wrong way. I felt bad for the PC.
