We caught this item the other day. On the IMDB, Nitani is listed first in the cast list for “Mighty Jack,” which does not list character names, but I’m pretty sure that’s none other than Harold Atari. Can anybody confirm?

Yep, that’s Atari. Or so sayeth Nitani’s Japanese Wikipedia page anyway (his English Wikipedia page lists his involvement in Mighty Jack without specifying his role).

Hmm, that’s a shame. Though in unintentional honorarium I did watch Mighty Jack for the first time yesterday.

Hey, why didn’t Robert Easton ever get one of these? Or did I miss it?

In honor of Mr. Nitani, I will attempt to do a banked turn in my car at lunch.

Wow, i only wish the photo in my obit was as bad@$$ as that one. barbed wire fence background, smoking a cigarette with an shotgun ready to load- the ground around him is probably littered with hard liquor bottles and the blood of his enemies. 8-)

I hear ya cityofvoltz. In honer of Col. Atari no ice will be allowed to melt inside my home today. Also I will refrain from looking at “lights that can blind me”. Especially if warned about them beforehand.

I think we should all get our picture taken in this badass manner so it can run in our own obituaries. RIP Col. Atari.

Just like Jo Shishido(Captain Joe) in Fugitive Alien, it was easy to tell even in a stink-burger like Mighty Jack that Mr. Natani had some serious chops that should have been put to better use than crappy Japanese TV shows. Rest in peace Hideaki.

Man that really sucks. I love that picture of him. I’ve also lost my copy of Mighty Jack. Need to see again again.
In heaven, please slow the plot down!!

In honor of Nitani, I shall assemble a radio out of parts of my suit and broadcast my sorrow on the 20-meter band. That photo would make a great cigarette ad.

Guessing this is a still shot from the excellent movie, Tokyo Drifter.

Was he in “Tiger Lilly?”
That is one sweet over/under shotgun.
