Standard opening act, although it was the first time I saw Joel’s magic trick and Josh’s solo on the MST3K theme song. Gruber did a nice “history” of York and the theater. The venue was comfortable but I had some problems hearing the Titans sometimes. IMO, Rattlers is not their strongest outing. But did I have a great time? Yes. Was it worth the $35 tickets? Definitely. Can’t wait until next time!

Awesome show. This was the first time I’d ever seen a CT show, live or video, and they did a great job. The movie itself was so bad that it was funny on its own. The riffs included references to Rick Perry and Ron Paul, Snakes on a Plane, the Sandusky scandal, and Eegah. They all hung around after the show to sign autographs, shake hands, and chat with the fans. Each one of them was very friendly. Also, when Joel first came on stage prior to the start of the movie, he thanked the fans for continuing to keep MST alive after all these years.

It was fantastic. I didn’t know that Dave Gruber Allen was touring with them. That was a really nice surprise. I thought the riffs were great. Rattlers is in the running for one of the worst movies that MST3K/CT has ever done. I, too, had the problem with hearing some riffs. I think the movie was too loud at times (especially during “action” scenes) and drowned out the riffs. They were extremely friendly and nice to meet. I’m pretty sure I looked like a big grinning idiot but oh well. It was awesome.

My friend and I completely enjoyed the show. He and I passed Gruber on the street before the show, and I resisted the urge to pester him on his downtime. We sat in the balcony and saw and heard quite well. Can’t wait for this movie to make it to DVD. Afterwards we managed to be quite early in the line for the meet and greet. We stood behind a very tall “Dr. Forrester” and I shot a quick vid of him getting his costume signed by Joel.

I was a lucky winner of the pre-show Meet & Greet. What struck me was how genuinely NICE they all are. Very personable. They signed all three items I brought (the 20th Anniversary collector tin, the Crow figure, and my copy of East Meets Watts). The movie was hilarious, and, as a Penn State alum, I had to groan at the Sandusky joke. I was excited when I saw Gruber before the show started— his “history” lesson was hilarious. Frank is hilarious, and I wish he got more exposure as a comedian. Well-worth the money, and I hope they come back again next year!

As far as the comments about the audio, when the theater was renovated a few years ago, they really dropped the ball on the sound system.
