One thing I forgot to mention when I sent you this price drop info earlier today is that the Standard Edition Gamera Volume XXI set is now also available on Amazon. It’s the same set as before minus the collectible tin box.

This is not the best place to put this question but could someone out there please help? My DVD player that’s built into my T.V. died, couldn’t handle the endless M.S.T. viewing that goes on around here. Any way I hooked up my old DVD player and it only plays some of my DVDS. So you may ask is it only newer DVDS it wont play? Well no, the other night I wanted to watch GAMERA ( the first one in the set. ) and it wouldn’t load up. Today the same thing, but when I put GAMERS VS BARUGON in it loaded right up. My other movie I tried to watch is RANGO and it wouldn’t load up and we have rented newer movies and had no problems. Can anyone out there help me???

Looks like Amazon has a lot of the sets on sale. Several for just $29. I had been holding off on ordering XIX until they ditch the Gypsy figurine and drop the price, but it’s on sale now for 37.99 as well. Cha-ching!

Capt Ross, I’ve had the same thing happen with DVD players over the years. As the players age, it seems like there’s no rhyme or reason to which discs will load. The good news is that DVD players are really cheap these days.

Snowdog is right, I just got a bluray player for $70 that will not only play DVDs and blurays but any computer videos as well (avi, mp4, mkv, etc.). Excellent for your DAP copies or any kind of disc you have! A lot of DVD players are flaky and won’t accept certain DVDs for who knows what reason, a lot of older players wouldn’t accept DVD-Rs at all.

I just ordered it for $35.99 so it went up since yesterday!!!
Cheapskate Crow – What brand of BluRay player is that? I’m in the market for one that plays AVI. Speaking of which, can it play Divx AVI’s?
