While not in a Mysty movie I recall, Anne Francis died last
Jan. 3 at age 80. As a counter to many bad ’50s scifi movies.
she was Dr. Morbius’s daughter in Forbidden Planet, love
interest of Frank Drebin (I mean, Leslie Nielsen).

You and TCM Remembers are my favorite posts this time of year.
We did seem to loose a large share of actors in 2011.

Good night Jack La Lane(who was also at the beginning of the old Adam West Batman movie, obviously had a sense of humor!), Russel A. Mosser for all the crappy but funny shorts, Ross Hagen (chili peppers, gut, you know), Dolores Fuller, Ed Wood’s suffering wife, Mr. B!!!!!!!, Bubba Smith from all the Police Academy movies of my youth, Sid Melton, and Robert Easton, whom we really did barely know. Ye. Whatever.

This was a nice addition to the site, today. It’s nice to acknowledge the passing of these people, who did their best to entertain the world.

It’s pretty informative and depressing when you stack them all up like that. But you can be sure there’ll be a similar list next year, and the year after that…these folks aren’t getting any younger.
