Last Christmas, whether you wanted it or not, RiffTrax warmed your heart and addled your mind with instant holiday classic Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny. Attempts to describe this timeless film range from “my favorite Christmas movie that has an ice cream bunny” to “I don’t know what this is or why this is happening to me but I think I love it” to “Mankind’s Greatest Achievement.”
What you may not know is – there’s more. That’s right, over 13 more minutes of “Bunny” that have, until now, gone totally unriffed! This time, we leave nothing out. This time, it’s “Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny: Extended Edition.”
Mike, Bill, and Kevin will host and perform an in-studio riff of the complete film, including those 13 never-before-riffed minutes. They’ll also present a free preview of our next slice of holiday weirdness, upcoming VOD release “The Magic Christmas Tree!”
Only $6.99! Buy your ticket for either showtime here.
But hey, Christmas isn’t only about bizarre movies, it’s also about getting stuff. Santa won’t return our calls, so we’re giving you a chance to write in and ask The Ice Cream Bunny for something. Mail your REAL PHYSICAL LETTER to the address below, and the guys will pick their favorite letter to read on camera during the show! Only real letters will be accepted, as authorities have forbidden The Ice Cream Bunny from using email.
Gifts previously given by The Ice Cream Bunny include:
*Part of a Reader’s Digest (damp)
*A washcloth you misplaced years ago
*A giant ball of gum and hairSend those letters to:

So what’s the explanation for missing the 13 minutes the first time?

I don’t know but I’m looking forward to it (I think there were some cuts in the Thumbelina section. I’ve watched it unriffed before but I’m not going to do so now…I’m off to watch some Buffalo Ridin’)

I believe when they riffed it the first time they cut out a bunch of songs. The missing 13 minutes are probably those songs.

I bought the DVD, but I haven’t watched it yet. I think I’ll wait and watch this version first.

@zee – right on the nose. Anybody who had read the agony booths recap o’ santam’n and the bunnym’n would know that.

Same with me; just got it last week.
I’ll be visiting my Mom that Friday; I think her computer might handle video streaming better than mine. But I’d still have preferred this to be a streaming-to-theaters event, or a DVD.

Ditto to theater event. I had a blast at “Jack the Giant Killer.” First time at a streaming RiffTrax event. Hopefully won’t be the last.

Wow, new footage on Mick Foley’s top of the steel cage fall through the table in Pittsburgh a few years ago?
I know, I’m pretty screwed up.

$6.99 for a web streamed riff?!? Thanks but no thanks, so many things can go wrong with that and it will probably be impossible to get a refund. I’ll wait for the DVD or burn to DVD release.

There are absolutely no plans to release this as a DVD or VOD afterward. We’ve been doing smaller events over the past few months to show that we’ve eliminated the controllable issues of streaming as well.

so both shows will be live or is saturday a rebroadcast?

That was fun. The extra stuff was mostly ear-piercing songs from Thumbelina, but of course the RiffTrax guys always make it fun. If only there was bacon involved.

Great show! When Mike read the letter and held it up for the camera, I half expected him to say, “Can we put that up on still-store?”

We are planning on watching tonight’s broadcast, does anyone know if it will be just a re-broadcast from last night or a new one? I mean I am going to watch it anyway, but just curious :)
