Cinematic Titanic Press

Thomas Rozwadowski of the Green Bay Press Gazette has a nice long piece about Joel’s upcoming “homecoming” show there.

Meanwhile, L. Paul Mann reviews the recent Santa Barbara show in The Examiner.

Update: Damion Damaske reviews the Santa Barbara show as well, in the UCSB student paper.

Joel was interviewed live on Appleton station WAPL this morning and revealed a couple of interesting tidbits. The theatre where CT will be performing this weekend is the theatre where he saw Star Wars for the first time. He also said this will be the second time that he has performed there. As a teenager, he did a magic show for a corporate event.

Got my tickets! Can’t wait! :-)

I went to UCSB in the late 90’s and I remember the Daily Nexus printed an editorial slamming MST3K for the “Girls Town” episode and making light of the rape scene that opens the movie. It was a ridiculous point of view, and I think I basically stopped reading the Nexus after that. Glad to see the new generation of Nexus editors “get it”.
