I’ve got four of the five MST3K Versus Gamera movies not yet watched, so am in good shape for stuff to watch during the hurricane, if the power holds up. What MST3K movies are the ones to watch while waiting out a major weather event like a hurricane, blizzard, or anything else that just keeps you locked up at home for a couple days?

I think the best ep’s to have on hand during a mild holocaust would be the ones where you get to know the characters.
Fr’instance, Pod People: we can enjoy tramping through the woods with the vacationing rock stars and even the bickering poachers, even as they get picked off one by one. Or Cave Dwellers, after their long journey back to the geometric nucleus; or Swamp Diamonds, as we watch the girls bond with each other (and catfight) on the way across the Bayou to retrieve said diamonds. And who couldn’t lose themselves in the taught drama that unfolds as Jimmy slowly loses his essay contest, his girl, his family, his job and his sanity, during I Accuse My Parents. Then bask in the warmth of Rowsdower and his ward Troy; aided by Pipper and Larry Csonka, they form a friendship and join together (figuratively) to face a common foe.
After that, who cares if it’s snowbound outside or if all the trees and road signs have been stripped bare by the hurricane?
