If you didn’t attend the live show, and therefore didn’t download this from the digital goodies page, this short, which was riffed at the most recent live show, is now available.

Now that I know corn is a grass, I can stew about what nothing is.

I completely forgot I downloaded this off the goodies page the day after the show so I actually bought it. Oh well! I still love Rifftrax!

The studio version is missing an observational riff from the live version (near the end of the subtraction scene). The riff they used in the studio version is certainly funny, but completely ignores the bizarre position these kids are in in that shot.

THE ONLY TIME YOU CAN BE COMPLETELY ” DOING NOTHING” IS WHEN YOU ARE DEAD. AND EVEN THEN YOU ARE LAYING DOWN , SO ISNT THAT ” DOING SOMETHING?” AAAAGGGGGGGGGGG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM GOING TO “DO SOMETHING” AND WATCH THE CORN GROW! IF CORN IS GRASS SHOULDNT IT BE MOWED AND NOT HARVESTED? AAAAAAGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!! I HAVE TO ” DO SOMETHING” ABOUT THAT QUESTION !!!!!

Nothing is what I would rather be doing than homework. :)

Is it ok to insert a Congress or President riff with a film about “Nothing?” I mean it has the full set up for it.

It’s one of those shorts that begs the question, “Who was dumb enough to fund this idea in the first place?”. I mean, this was the early 70’s when this came out so was there a lot of funny smelling smoke filling the board room and everyone using the word “man” three times in each sentence? Anyhoo, this short went over like gangbusters live at the venue I was at and the studio version is pretty darn close. Man, good thing I was smart enough to get this free before it the price shot up to an entire 99 cents, man…I was thinkin’ pretty good, man.
