Bill & Kevin on “7 Live”Bill & Kevin went on “7 Live,” a daytime talk show in San Francisco, today to plug the Sketchfest appearance. They tried their best. The host was cordial but clueless.

Nice MST clip… what, no KTMA episodes available? :|

I wouldn’t say the guy was clueless… Clueless would imply that he had no concept of what the point of the whole thing is. To me, he just seemed like a casual fan that may not have hunted down every bit of history like most of us here have. Honestly, it’s good to see an interviewer who actually seems to appreciate the humour.

Sadly thet cut off Bill’s great riff about which way is business. Nice little plug for rifftrax.

I agree with Unabeefer he seemed to generally get the joke but also new his audience would need some help in understanding.

I agree with Big Al. The clips they showed were weak. Other than that, I thought it was a pretty good interview considering the general audience.

I also agree that the guy wasn’t clueless, but was playing to a general audience.
Was Kevin wearing his magic reading glasses around his neck?

Meanwhile Kevin, Bill, and Mike are on Dennis Miller’s radio show several times a year, he is a HUGE fan, and the interviews are hilarious. Glad to see that no one’s delicate sensibilities were offended by the guys being on a lame, tired, boring San Fran public access show… smh

Always nice to both see and hear Bill Corbett, out of makeup and not under Crow. In my experience, it’s been rare. And yeah, interviewers always have to assume the audience has unfamiliars in them. I thought he did fine.

“Cordial but clueless….”
Said so often about me, I’m thinking of registering it as my official ‘Catch-phrase’…..sigh!!! :-?

Gee, I wonder if people totally unfamiliar with the show think Crow always looks like that…

Just a quick note from someone with a slight media background. A lot of the hosts are trained to approach segments like this as clueless. The main reason is that they don’t want the “average” viewer tuning out. They want the interviewer to seem as if they are as new to the subject matter as the viewer… in other words they do it so the newbs won’t feel dumb and tune out dropping the ratings. Also when dealing with non-mainstream items they want to approach it to give a total back story, as compared to Twilight where they can assume everyone and their dog is familiar with the subject matter. In specialized show they can delve deeper into the show and ask more probing questions, but for a morning tv talk show then yeah, even if the host was a huge riff fan and knew the history the producer still would have probably had him conduct a “hey, tell me what you guys do” interview.

I also did not think he was clueless. It’s always fun watching the real person speak when you mostly know them as a character who is animated or, in this case, a robot. You can certainly hear Servo when he speaks.

Nice clip. Hope to see a lot of older films featured with Rifftrax. Also a collection of them riffing old commercials. Would that be legal? I watched the STAR WARS HOLIDAY SPECIAL, and they riffed the commercials, it’s awesome.

Agree with Dr. Lombardi.
Obviously Sampo has never watched Brian Lamb do one of his author interviews on C-SPAN.
“Alexander Hamilton. Who was he?”
