Weekend Discussion Thread: Most Laughable Props in a MSTed Movie

Alert treader “Rowsdower” suggests:

“Most Laughable Movie Props” (example: the cardboard box video camera in “Future War”)

He also had examples that were actually make up and costumes, which I think I will save for another day.

I think I’m going to go with the flying pizza monsters in episode 309- THE AMAZING COLOSSAL MAN 311 – IT CONQUERED THE WORLD.

(I was on no sleep when I typed that.)

What’s your pick?

the flying saucer footage from Attack of the the Eye Creatures, the creatures them selves, not enough body suits.to go with all the head pieces,
or the sausage mouth fish monsters from Horror at Party Beach.

Nothing instills awe and terror more than Zor’s Swan hat, with menacing large wings, from “Cave Dwellers.” It is no wonder he defeated Akronas’s forces so switftly.

It’s frightening to me that you remember the names of characters from Cave Dwellers other than Ator and Thong.

Rat Fink’s “atomic hearing aid” that looks like a pencil sharpener according to Servo. The Enforcer golf carts from Space Mutiny. The Martian’s Whammo air blasters get me everytime too. My sleeper pick would be the magic toaster levers from Fire Maidens of Outer Space. Not only does it control the ship, but can turn you into a 9 year old Hindu boy!

That ‘baby ship’ ejected from the spacecraft in ’12 to the Moon’? I always thought it was adorable.

Since it hasn’t been mentioned, I’ve gotta say “the prop that wasn’t” from “Agent for HARM” — the key that the scientist was supposed to be turning in the door lock, but it was perfectly obvious he had absolutely nothing in his hand. That was soooooo bad.

I almost forgot, the OBVIOUSLY rubber werewolf skeleton in “Werewolf.” When they are brushing the sand off of it, it bends and moves way too easily for a skeleton, revealing that it’s light weight rubber.

Blood Waters of Dr. Z – that stupid body crane he uses to lower himself into his magic pool. Clumsy and dumb…. kinda like the movie
