(By the way, if you have a suggestion for a future weekend discussion thread, I’d love to hear it.)
Here’s mine, in episode order:
• “Cotton Picker” from episode 112- UNTAMED YOUTH. Eddie Cochran, baby. Wow!
• “Scuba Party” from episode 204- CATALINA CAPER. Little Richard, hopped up on goofballs though he may be, is still Little Richard.
• “Wait’ll I Get You Home” from episode 307- DADDY-O. Dick Contino romances Lou Reed from the Transformer album cover. Mwah!
• “”The House on Brownsville Road”” from episode 506- EEGAH! It’s a cabbage patch Elvis! Tequila!
• “Stratosphere Boogie” from episode 609- THE SKY DIVERS. Nashville guitar great Jimmy Bryant livens up this Coleman Francis turd with one of his best songs. George Herman Ruth on guitar!
Least favorite: “Where Can You Be?” from episode 507 – I ACCUSE MY PARENTS. After “Are You Happy in Your Work,” it just feels gratuitous.
What are yours?
For incidental music it has to be the Intro theme song to Riding With Death. Also the intro theme song to Mitchell (not the Hoyt Axton Mitchell Love Theme), and the incidental music during the final helicopter chase (it’s reminiscent of the Riding with Death theme, I admit).
Agree with others about Danger! Death Ray and the Morricone songs in the other Bondsploitation films (have to go check out the scuba scene in Diabolik now). Thanks to the “Bobs” above for pointing out the CD reissue of various soundtracks…
For songs, It’s
#5 – Pig Licker (Hobgoblins)
#4 – Girl in the Gold Boots (S/T)
#3 – California Lady (Track of the Moon Beast)
#2 – Are you Happy in your work (I Accuse My Parents)
#1 Shine Shine Shine Shine Shine Shine Shine Shine Shine Your Love (Angel’s Revenge)

This thread was such fun to reread, weeks after it first went up. I’ve had a chance to rewatch a number of MST eps (an embarrassing number, really), but I will add only that I agree with those who mentioned the Beau Brummels, from Village of the Giants – surprisingly decent music.
And I also was very surprised at how much I liked “Happy Today” from Soul Taker, in a definite guilty-pleasure way. I only add this now because I don’t think anyone else has mentioned it here. It’s got a pop-80s sensibility to it, and it made the scene at the Summerfest much more enjoyable.
So there. Now future generations will be able to add this song to the list of favorites from MST movies. I feel much better.

I think the songs from ‘The Del Airs’ in HORROR OF PARTY BEACH were good; despite it involving men dancing very disturbingly.
