Colossus Prime… there are two EASTER EGGS on the SANTA CLAUS disc… but they are both in the same place. Click ENTER to watch one… then click it again to watch a different clip. But I can’t tell you where they are. Don’t want to take the fun (or frustration) away!
I hope everyone enjoys the extra’s… especially the SANTA CLAUS material! I had a blast putting it together!

Check the reunited twins (together at last): http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u238/dad1153/DSC00012-6.jpg and http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u238/dad1153/DSC00014-4.jpg

Well thank you for that. I was just looking for confirmation of their existance before I went looking for them. Knowing which disk they’re on (and how many there are) will make the search far less frustrating.

It completed the trek from the Shout! Factory to my home today. Can’t wait to see Santa Claus sans the grainy VCR accents (just grainy film accents and grainy voice-over acting). Also, I’m very happy they included both versions of 701. It’s like having two, two episodes in one!

I started watching Corpse Vanishes last night. Oh I love having the Season One shows, especially those with Radar Men From The Moon, which was always one of the best things from Season One for me. It’s great having so much continuity now on the Radar Men serial on commercial DVD now.

I got mine in the mail today. It didn’t have the mini poster for Santa Claus. Anyone else have a problem?
Everything else looks fine, though.

Why is the Tom Servo figurine brown? He looks like an A & W root beer barrel.

But I did get two Santa Claus posters.

Stickboy, I must have yours! I’ll send it to you if you want.

@Toots Sweet – The reason why it’s red-brown is because if it was straight red, it wouldn’t look right either.
Servo’s actual color is Tester’s Ruby Red Metal Flake.
So I’m sure that rather than license the color, they comprised.
It’s still cool looking.

Got mine a couple days ago, thank goodness. I was going CRAZY making sure I’d be able to almost afford it.
And thank God the MST3K people found SANTA CLAUS. I’d seen this movie in one of its last ‘holiday kiddie matinee’ tours when I was very, very young and was so relieved to discover years later that no, I did NOT dream that thing about the Devil trapping Santa in a tree…

Got home from work, and lo and behold, there was a Tom Servo and a gaggle of dvds on the porch! But can’t watch any tonight – GO BEAVERS!!!!

I was impressed with the candor of the LOTLW director in his interview. He had some really nice things to say about the MST experience, too. That’s always nice to hear.

I didn’t get any posters, I e-mailed Shout! and a very friendly Jordan responded and are sending them to me in the mail. Gotta love Shout! Factory!!

Mine arrived last night. This is going to be a great weekend.

Looking at the figurines, I think you really need a somewhat larger Gypsy one to keep the other two in line. Boys!

Got mine today. Too, too wonderful! Everything looks ship shape and in order. Although I also wondered about Tom’s color. I saw the explanation above. Anyone else as OCD as I, and any opinions on the feasibility of me finding the right color red and painting him myself? Or is that one big recipe for disaster, and I should leave well enough alone?

Got mine from Amazon today. Unfortunately they shipped it in a large envelope instead of a box (first time I have seen that with their DVDs) and the DVD box was all smashed in. (Poor lil’ Tom! Rough trip). Shipping it back for replacement, but sure hope they use a box this time.

Also wanted to ask about a plain-jane release. I missed the first one, and my DVD shelves are already over-crowded as it is (you’ll get my Invader Zim house when you pry it from my cold, dead hands), so I’ll be happy with just the movies.
thanks!

Who, other than the person who bought it, is going to be mad over Tom Servo not being “red” enough?
I would recommend to PearlieMae that you should just be happy we have a company that will get us figurines in the first place, and that it comes with the collection instead of costing extra. Seriously, I like to complain sometimes, but complaints about Servo being a quarter of an inch bigger or not being red enough?
As Kevin Butler might say, I’m going to file this under, “not an issue.”

Hooray, I just picked up my copy! Everything’s intact, including Tom Servo. Crow’s gonna have to learn to share some shelf space next to my various Lara Croft statues…

Has anyone determined the location of the Easter Eggs on the Santa Claus disc? The “songs” clip is on the center bridge button at the main menu, but I can’t find the purported “gift exchange” one.

If history repeats itself, I think the standard edition will be available on January 5. It was a 5-week period between the releases of the 20th Limited Ed. and the 20th Standard Ed.
I wish they would announce when the standard edition of Volume XVI is available…

Tom and Crow look great together, parked in front of my Moguera and Transforming MOGERA (from “The Mysterians” and “Godzilla vs Space Godzilla”). Unfortunately, while Crow goes perfectly with Calculon from “Futurama,” there’s no corresponding ‘bot to go with Servo. (I like me some freakbots, I does.)
As for Servo’s color: I never realized Crow’s eyes were yellow, rather than white, until I saw Crow “in person.” Just go with it. The only change I would even consider making is adding a little propeller inside the hoverskirt.
Gypsy! We want Gypsy! Our appetite will never be sated!
I’m watching “Blood Beast” — catching up on my Turkey Day festivities — and am wondering if one of Crow’s lines has been altered. Is he really saying “he’s spinning $#!tties on the lawn?” (The puppet-sync is off, but that’s hardly conclusive. I’ve already deleted my DAP downloads…)

@128, re Crow’s line: Nevermind. Remembered that I hadn’t lost my backup of he DAP download and checked that. The line’s the same (with the mis-sync), though I still don’t understand what Crow’s saying there.

I’ve finished watching The Corpse Vanishes and Warrior of the Lost World, and hope to finish watching the other two shows tonight.
And for the guy collecting SCTV references, Warrior of the Lost World has one, “the guy with the snake on his face”. It’s during the out of nowhere battle royale, I believe…

Just got done watching Blood Beast. Great episode! It’s been a while since I’ve seen it.
Speaking of which, this was the first time I noticed how similar the theme of this movie is, in comparison to Alien. Here I thought Alien was an original concept! :???:
Also, the Servo figurine ROCKS! Woo-hoo!

Just arrived yesterday, the same day I was laid off from my job. Thank you MST ’cause it would have been a long night without you.

So how exactly does the easter egg work, ’cause I can’t figure it out. I can’t press the enter button more than once. I’ll watch the first featurette, but then once it’s over, I’m back at the extras option in the menu.

To #121 pearliemae:
It might be tuff because Testor’s #1629 Ruby Red Metalflake only comes in a ‘rattle can’ as far as I know.

re: Tom’s color
I won’t go so far as to say I’m *mad*, but I was immediately put off how “wrong” it was. I know it would be difficult to get the exact color, but I can’t believe they couldn’t get closer than this.
That being said, sitting on the shelf the color doesn’t look too far off and the detail is very nice. Far outshines Crow for accuracy.
The lack of a base, however, made me wonder how much more difficult it would have been to articulate the thing and make it a straight-up action figure. (Just a head turn and somewhat floppy arms and there you go!)
Overall, a very nice item.
The box, I have had to relegate to storage, as it takes up far too much space and lacks that special “something” that a tin case has that allows it to be displayed on its own. The inner box gets the spot on the shelf.
(Oh, and the DVDs are pretty good, too.)

I received my set last Friday and got into it over the weekend….
The Servo figure is not as good as I had hoped. Mayhap that ‘Limited Edition’ tag had me thinking that this would be something a bit better than what used to be packed in cereal boxes when I was a kid….It`s nice, but I would have wanted a better grade of plastic, more detailing and the correct coloration.
The movie set is excellent…After viewing ‘Warrior Of The Lost World’, I had a fun email session with David Worth about what worked and what did not with WOTL. He told me that somewhere in his files he actually has the treatment for a sequel. I suggested that it woukld make a good tv series ( ‘Then came Bronson’ with a post-apocalyptic slant) … Very Nice Guy.
I would suggest to SHOUT! that they take a poll on new extra figures for future sets… Gypsy, of course, but a lil` SOL would be good and then perhaps some special figures of Crow & Servo, ‘in costume’ from assorted eps ( an exploded head Servo or a Dark Crow, etc…)

Shout won’t be releasing the standard version till the deluxe version (with figurine) runs out.

Oh, those having trouble getting the second Easter egg: I think I’ve finally figured it out. Not only do you have to press the button twice, you have to do it BEFORE playing anything else.

Like Happenstance, I want to know too:
Does anyone know if Crow says, “Spun @#%tties on the lawn”?
