There are some interesting comments by the cast members. Much of the info is stuff we have heard before but some of it is new.
But at the very end the piece says this:
This spring Hodgson is hoping to start a new online incarnation of the show, one that will feature a fresh (and as-yet-unannounced) host and cameos from many MST3K alumni.
Thaaat might have been the headline.
I just realized. Where the heck is Paul Chapman? Besides voicing one of the bots in that terrible Flash thing a few years ago, he’s been completely invisible. He wasn’t even interviewed for this piece.

MST3K for the new current crowd… oh no… I’m watching the KTMA days and they just took their time, just like all the Joel seasons and that’s how I like it. Look at what has happened to radio broadcasting since MST3K started (and I started at about the same time). It isn’t the same and I hate it. Will MST3K make me want to turn off the internet like radio does in my car?

The fact that ‘Lede’ is still there…says everything.

By “Paul Chapman”, I of course meant “Paul Chaplin”. Oops.

MSTies: If you haven’t, go back and read the long form of the article. Very worth it.
Just as a sampling of the goods: Trace auditioned for the role of Jar Jar Binks, and Rick Sloane once again passes the buck for the terribleness of Hobgoblins.

It’s entirely possible that Paul Chapman (more often known as Paul Schersten) has kept busy, but his work is not necessarily published or widely known. Many MST3K alumni have attempted to get things off the ground in the intervening years that just didn’t happen – I was shocked to learn that Mike had shot an unsuccessful TV pilot and had written a screenplay, neither of which have publicly materialized or seem to have any information available at all. Still waiting on one of you to dig something up, frankly!
