I think this nod to MST3K is cute. And surprising! Like, HOW LONG did it take for Seth McFarlane to take a nod to MST3K? Hell, I think he did a LOT MORE obscure references before he mentioned MST3K!

As for the debate, I’ll throw my two cents in and stay out of it. I like Family Guy, it was better in the past but still good today. I love American Dad, it was okay at the start and got better from there… except this season had an episode or two that were hit and miss for me. And Cleveland Show… meh, it’s a good premise that went bland by becoming a clone of Family Guy.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Seth McFarlane’s work. He can be obscene, but then he has a way to win you back by doing something heatfelt or memorable. He’s the kind of guy where you’re like “Yeah he’s going to hell, but at least he has a heart.” After all that, he does have three shows already, and I hear he’s gonna make a third Family Guy clone with a female lead. Man, he’s gonna DOMINATE the Fox lineup! (Unless he seels the show to someone else, I hope). And he’s gonna do a Flintstones reboot?? That true?? I hope it’s like his Family Guy/Star Wars trilogy. If not, let me be the next to say “That’s enough, Seth McFarlane!”

Seth does have a CD out of himself singing big band songs. He’s not that bad a singer. I’d check that out.
