   While discussing great Vincent Price performances, one must not overlook Price’s wonderful voice acting as Ratigan in “The Great Mouse Detective”.

   This Vincent Price discussion (as well as seeing The Mads riff The Tingler back in August) has me thinking: what VP movie, would be worthy of the MST3K treatment? He’s always enjoyable, but the movies around him aren’t necessarily. I remember Tales of Terror being weird and silly. For a latter day choice (and one that would require a lot of editing, to keep it PG-13) would be Dead Heat.

   Man, I forgot Vincent Price was in “Dead Heat” All I remember from the movie was it was a buddy zombie cop film with that sweet end credit jingle about the movie. IT’S A DEAD HEAT! by Phil Settle.

   The ‘Doctor Goldfoot’ movies might be an option.

   “The Haunted Palace” maybe, although it isn’t especially bad.

   You seem to have a fixation with “the cool kids” – you’ve mentioned this several times before, and I think it informs your personality and speaks a lot about your actions…

   This was mentioned earlier by another poster. Your analogy would indicate that you see yourself as being anointed to save all of the uninformed Mike-ites from their primitive ways. Again, this is very telling about how you see yourself, and your attitude towards others…

   As mentioned previously – this has nothing at all to do with a difference of opinion. It has to do entirely with your *constant* derision of all things Mike, and your pedantic, know-it-all behavior towards other posters here.

   Look man, you feel the way you do, and you know what? That’s fine. Nobody is telling you that you can’t feel that way. What we are asking you, and have for years, is to resist your constant urge to tear down everyone elses opinions. Again, as mentioned – we all have different things we like or don’t like about the hosts/characters/episodes – but we don’t feel the need to constantly step on each others opinions.

   Don’t try to muddy the waters here by claiming that people are trying to suppress what you think – that move is transparent and everyone sees through it. In short – you can express how you feel without being a dick-weed.

   It’s really not that hard, and it’s part of being an adult and interacting with others – the ability to disagree without being abrasive. I’ve seen you do it before – posts where you engage in on-topic, informative banter with other people here. Sadly, it’s the exception and not the rule.

   And you know… I remembered something when I was creating this response:

   I’m something of an armchair Titanic historian. Years ago I was on a news-list for other like-minded people, and there was (as there usually is) one particular guy who constantly tore down everyone else’s opinions on the ship, the salvage operations, the people involved. It got to the point where the list became a slog and a chore to read through, and people would note this person as their reason for leaving. That list is dead now.

   What I remembered today was this, and I swear I am not making this up:

   His name was Eric.

   And the realization I had was that you and he would probably get along great. And I don’t say that at all with any level of snarkiness – it actually makes me sad.

   Improve your account, Eric. I really believe you can.
