Rick or Tommy from pod people, Take your pick.

Jonathan Haze portrayed many a fine Dweeb in many a MSTied movie, from Wormy Guy in “Gunslinger” to a Grimault Warrior in “Viking Women…” – I liked him as “Corky” (Lt. Manuel Ortiz) in “It Conquered the World.”

There’s not much love for Jimmy Wilson. May I point out that he won an essay contest. If that’s not a symptom of dweebishness, I don’t know what is.

Droppo, Droppo, Droppo!!!!!!!

To further the case for Jimmy Wilson @53, it was a essay about what a great Mom he had.

Pete from “Bloodlust!” (Same actor from “Earth Vs. The Spider” mentioned above). “Damn the torpedoes, please”.

Yes, Jimmy Wilson is a bit of a dweeb, but his essay is all lies. He gave his audience what it expected. I’d dare to say that his whole high school is dweeby. What kind of a high school asks it’s, I assume senior class, to write an essay their home life?
I think being a jock too cancels out the dweebishness of the Industrial Arts Kid.

Jimmy Wilson seems more of a grifter than a dweeb. He sure raked in the money
from his parents (including his weekly birthday gifts).
Just imagine how much he’d have gotten if he’d gone with the crowd to
that party animal Jack Taylor’s place.
I still want to know who got that fourth dinner at the hoedown nightclub.
Hmm… Maybe his girlfriend was really hungry. Or perhaps that nightclub was
taken over by the gang in Goodfellas.

While no one can argue that Troy McGregor is a mega-dweeb, there is no bigger dweeb in the history of MST3K than Nick from What To Do on a Date. Forget about the fact that he relies on a list posted at the youth center for ideas on what to do on a date with a girl, or the fact that he is the main character in a short titled “What To Do on a Date”… I cite the baseball he throws at the beginning of the short as all the evidence I need. That throw alone clinches it in my opinion for Nick as king of dweebs. He makes Bababooey look like Randy Johnson.

I think Nick from “What to Do on a Date” is more of a lug than a dweeb. It seems like he’s ready to ask George to tell him about the rabbits again.

Hmm.. Nick speaks like a lug, true, but he shows some competencies that a lug would struggle with, such as going on bicycle trips and planning a wienie-roast. On a scale I’d have to grade him just above lug and into the dweeb range.

Whoops, I forgot about Johnny the cheater. I hope the disembodied heads of his parents grounded him for months.

I almost forgot Winkie from Manhunt In Space & Crash of the Moons……a good solid dweeb performance on his part

if Prince Of Space isn’t a dweeb, who is?

The “Piggy of the Group” from Invasion of the Neptune Men. He evokes sympathy for the crap he surely has to endure, being a four-eyed fat kid, yet disturbs with his every gesture, action, and utterance. When faced with danger, his instinct is to bellow and fall down. He is the weakest link.

Mick from Squirm, AKA “Antique Man”. Gets KO’d by the wind from a thin plywood panel.

Hard to argue against Mikey from “Teenage Stranglers”, but I’m going to go a different route here and nominate Wanda from “Alien from L.A”. She’s dweeby AND deleriously hot. And who said our dweeb can’t be a girl?
And yes #42, Cornjob definitely counts.

Todd (Ottar) from Viking Women.
“Oh! Todd gets his butt kicked every time! you think he’d learn…”
totally inept.
also… in Gunslinger his character, Jake, is a total dweeb.
Jonathan Haze- transcending the limits of individual movies to spread Dweeb-ism to the unwashed masses.

I was thinking that all the dweebs listed here are, nominally at least, males. Then I was trying to conjure a mental image of the dweebiest female character in an MST film. I hereby nominate Serafina from Girls Town as the biggest dweeb! She doesn’t really look too dorky, at least not till she has her novice robes on, but I think she is eminently qualified. She has a double dose of dweebness by proxy, her stalker crush on Mr. Anka, clearly another dweeb. The film also has Mel Torme and the pants hiking Contino exhibiting dweeb traits.

I was watching The Skydivers and I realized that I forgot one of the biggest dweebs in a MSTed movie. Yes, I’m talking about the “Doodles Weaver is Eraserhead” photographer guy. Need I say more?

Another thing is a dweeb who thought he was a tough guy Todd aka Ottar from Viking Women , Buzz from The Girl With Gold Boots , Tommy Kirk from both Catalina Caper and especially from Village of Giants and Hal Moffit from Ring of Terror but is he too old or too dead? And can’t forget Rod from Wild Rebels
A special mention for Jonathan Haze not only Todd and Jake from Gunslinger there is Corky from It Conquered the World the failed pick pocket from Swamp Diamonds not to mention from Rifftrax Seymore Clrelborn from Little Shop of Horrors
One more Droppo it puts this on an interplanetary scale!

I heard Buzz from Mr. B Natural, but where’s the love for the he-she, woMAN Mr. B Natural? I mean, I thought for sure someone would pick him/her. Another choice: Johnny from “Time of the Apes” (SERIOUSLY, why doesn’t Johnny CARE?!) Nice choices with Troy, Danny, Mikey, Kevin, all the Steves, etc., and nice discussion thread idea!

I’m going to go with Heathcliff from Wild World of Batwoman. He’s just one creepy old guy.

As far as female dweebs are concerned (Mister B Natural doesn’t count), how about the girl who slakes her squishiness with her brother’s room-mate in ‘Young Man’s Fancy’?

Well, I’m sure some have been mentioned here, but I’ll throw them onto the pile anyway as there seems to be an informal poll going on.
Kenny from the original Gamera. Talks to turtles. ‘Nuff said.
Akio & Tom from Gamera Vs Guiron. Stealing alien spacecraft, scarfing doughnuts. Traffic accidents?
Bobby from the Rocky Jones episodes. Right on, Crow: “Jettison Bobby!”
That dude in the glasses from Why Study Industrial Arts? Cripes, man, seriously. What a friggin’ dweeb.
Joe Moss from The Skydivers. “I like coffee!” I can’t believe Beth fell for that dweeb.
The photographer from The Skydivers. Him, too. “No, I just sit home and look at ’em!” Not only a dweeb, but a creepy dweeb to boot.
Critter from Girl In Gold Boots. Starts out as a CO, then decides to go to ‘Nam and kill him some gooks anyway. That, and the dorky flowery talk. Cripes, I just wanted to smack him. What an annoying-assed dweeb.
