RIP Alvin Rakoff

Chiswick, London — Alvin Rakoff, the Canadian-born filmmaker who directed Laurence Olivier in “A Voyage Round My Father,” has died. He was 97.

Rakoff was a writer, director and producer of over 100 TV, film and stage productions, as well as novels.

BURBANK, CALIF. — Roger Browne Jr., an actor and voice artist best known for his work in Italian cinema, died here Oct. 11 after a short illness.
