RIP Lori Nelson

LOS ANGELES — Lori Nelson, the 1950s starlet who was kidnapped by an amphibious monster in “Revenge of the Creature” and portrayed Barbara Stanwyck’s daughter in Douglas Sirk’s “All I Desire,” died Aug. 24 at her home here. She was 87, and had been suffering from Alzheimer’s disease for several years.

John Saxon, RIP

MURFREESBORO, Tenn.– John Saxon, the rugged actor who kicked around with Bruce Lee in “Enter the Dragon” and appeared in three “Nightmare on Elm Street” movies, died here of pneumonia July 25. He was 83.

An Italian-American from Brooklyn, Saxon played characters of various ethnicities during his long career.
