Trivia: Character actor BYRON FOULGER (1900-1970) had a recognizable face because of the 200+ movies and TV appearances he's done, but few know the name which went with that mealy-mouthed and meek-looking face, usually wearing glasses. You may have seen him playing a railroad conductor in the 419-THE REBEL SET. In HIGH SCHOOL BIG SHOT, Fougler was the mild-mannered office manager Mr. Mathews whose factory payroll was stolen. Some of his other films are: 1937-The Awful Truth (with Cary Grant); A Day at the Races (with the Marx Brothers); 1941-Man Made Monster; 1941-Sullivan's Travels (directed by Preston Sturges); 1942-The Palm Beach Story (also Sturges); 1944-The Whistler; 1946-The Postman Always Rings Twice (with Lana Turner); 1946-Dick Tracy Vs. Cueball; 1949-The Inspector General (with Danny Kaye); 1953-The Magnetic Monster; 1958-The Long, Hot Summer (with Paul Newman); and 1967-Disney's The Gnome-Mobile.
