PARIS — French character actor Jacques Herlin, who had more than 100 roles in a busy career, died in a hospital here on June 7. He was 86. MSTies will remember him as Ross in the movie in episode 504- SECRET AGENT SUPER DRAGON.
His obit is here, but, um, it’s in French.
Thanks to Duane for the heads up.
Here’s a google translate of the French obit. RIP.
The actor Jacques Herlin, second part to the impressive filmography, died Saturday at the age of 86 in a Paris hospital, told AFP his talent agency Artmedia.
Born August 17, 1927 in Paris, Jacques Herlin has more than one hundred films to his credit in nearly 60 year career. His last major role was that of brother Amédée in “Of Gods and Men” by Xavier Beauvois film awarded the Grand Jury Prize of the Cannes Film Festival in 2010.
This spring, he still turned in “Street ravishing” after a novel by Boris Vian, to be released in September on France 2.
“second part to the [etc.]” = “a supporting actor with an impressive filmography”
“‘Street Ravishing'” probably = “The Street of Beauties”
“Ross Perot, the early years.”
“Ross…”
“It IS Ross!”
One of my favorite “riffback” moments ever!
