why hasn’t anyone even mentioned his football career. He was probably one of the greatest of teams ever to play when he was w/Mighigan State. He has a Superbowl Ring w/the Colts, when he beat my beloved Dallas Cowboys. The world lost a great SPORTS HERO not an actor who appeared in a few movies.

@!^ Zap- you’re right. He played in two of the greatest games in football history- won neither, but was a true champ. He was in the famous 10-10 tie between #2 Michigan State and #1 Notre Dame in 1966. I was 10 years old and lived in East Lansing. Bubba used to come into the book store where my Mom worked. He was an incredibly funny guy. He played for the Colts in Super Bowl III, the Jets won 16-7. Bubba grew up in segregation, unable to go to a southern school- and Michigan State was a better place for it.

No offense to the late, great Bubba — but the best thing in the Police Academy films was Bobcat Goldthwait.

Andrew- no offense taken- best thing about Bobcat Goldthwait- he’s making a movie based on the Kink’s “Schoolboys in Disgrace” awesome!
